Experiences in Rhodes
Our goal in Sea and Τhe City is not just to provide you with a unique and wonderful stay, but to also offer you a full experience of our magnificent island. That’s why we’re always glad to guide you and point you to some of the most amazing Rhodes locations. Rhodes Island has a long, rich history that is definitely worth discovering. Being the most distinguished island of the Dodecanese group of islands, it offers a variety of otherworldly locations that will travel you back in a time of knights and castles, thus it’s also called “The Island of Knights”. It has become one of the most popular tourism destinations of Greece and it’s no wonder since it was actually well know for the “Colossus of Rhodes”, which was one of the ancient world’s 7 wonders! Let us take you on a unique journey by suggesting some of the must-see destinations on the island.
Rhodes Locations
While enjoying your stay, you should really consider visiting Lindos, a beautiful traditional community with the most rich history and nautical background, while you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to also pay a visit to the Medieval Town of Rhodes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and a true beauty to discover. If you’re seeking for a spiritual experience, the Monastery of Panagia Filerimos located on Mt. Filerimos, just 15km outside the capital of Rhodes is a truly important destination for you and we strongly suggest a visit. The Valley of the Butterflies is a natural park of 4 acres and it’s a magical destination, since during the summer it serves as a house for a large number of butterflies and it will certainly be an experience to remember. For the adventure seekers, we are highly recommending the Prasonisi area, the southernmost end of the island and a top destination for windsurfing and kite surfing, which is more easily accessible from our Villa Casa Aestas. Last but not least, you shouldn’t miss a chance to visit the Kallithea Thermal Springs, known for their healing waters that spring through the surrounding rocks, located at the Kallithea bay. A perfect combination of architecture, history and natural beauty.
